A party is a celebration of an important event. It gathers friends and loved ones together to join you in an occasion that you feel particularly strongly about. Parties can also be gatherings that do not even need an occasion and could just be a reason for you and the important people in your life to gather in have fun. Whatever reason, to throw a perfect bash, choosing among your local planners of themed parties is a good start to throwing a party.

A lot of people think that they have multi-tasking skills until they throw a party to celebrate an event. Up until then do hosts of parties realize that even one has to worry about even the smallest stuff; after all, no one wants to be remembered for a really bad bash. Getting things done is one thing but executing them perfectly is another; add the fact that you have to also have to mingle with your guests and you have a recipe for a potentially stressful instead of fun night. This is where planners of themed parties come in who could take away the bulk of responsibility when it comes to taking care of details. If you are hosting an event you want to go perfectly, it’s time to hire a professional to help you out.

One thing you have to decide on is the theme. Though help is there, you as the host should be the one who makes the decision on what the party’s mood or inspiration is. Of course you have to consider the occasion and how it suits the bash you are going to throw. Do you want something fancy? Do you want to throw a quirky get together? Or do you want an exotic bash that guests won’t forget? Work out these ideas with a couple of planners of themed parties so you know which option is the most feasible and is within the range of your budget.

Another factor that you should think of is the venue. A small gathering can be held in your house, your garden, or the rooftop of your building but a bigger one of course, needs an area that can accommodate everyone. Your party venue should be big enough for guests to walk around and mingle and it should also be a bit small so the gathering still has an intimate feel to it. It should also work with the theme you have chosen. Generally, planners of themed parties have contacts or lists of venues where you can hold your gathering. Another good thing about hiring a professional then proves itself: he or she has contacts already so you do not have to drive or call around the city scouting for areas.

Food and drinks are the most important things in a party. Considering your guests list, you could decide on which food to serve or not to serve. Certain dietary restrictions should be considered. You have to take into consideration the eating restrictions of all your guests. While you do not really have to plan just one meal, including options for your guests is a good thing. This concern can be easily answered by planners of themed parties especially since they can tell caterers to prepare meals or dishes in a certain way.

By: Andrew Smith

According to etiquette expert Emily Post, “The standard christening gift, is a silver mug, a porringer, or a knife, fork, and spoon, marked usually with the baby’s name and that of the giver.” Times may have moved on since that sentence was written in 1922, and although the choice of what to buy has widened, the decision has not become any easier.

Christenings, or the modern and secular naming ceremonies, are held to welcome a new baby into a church or family. A christening or naming ceremony is an important time in anyone’s life, and most people have a memento or keepsake to remind them that they been christened or named in the first place. But what do guests at these ceremonies, particularly the godparents or mentors, choose to give as baby christening gifts nowadays? Should we continue to follow the Victorian formula of “something useful in silver or religious readings” - gifts with traditional values, or can we branch out with something more modern and less formal without giving offence or feeling we have fallen short in our ‘godparents duties’ on day 1.

There is no doubt that the traditional silver egg cups, cutlery sets, hair brushes and napkin rings are still very welcome and can be the start of a new family heirloom collection, but rather than slavishly follow gifts that have been given since Victorian times, why not ring the changes in the twenty first century. There is no real limit to the sort of gift to choose, the fact that it is not ‘traditional’ doesn’t make it any the less meaningful or personal, but rather that you have used your knowledge of the baby’s parents to provide a gift that perhaps more closely follows their outlook and aspirations for their baby.

Exchange the silver cross necklace for a matched pair of “Mummy and Me” bracelets or a premium bond for a piggy bank. If you’re feeling particularly generous you could even lay down a case of vintage port for the baby - along with the condition that he opens the first bottle with you!

Or, rather than giving the traditional silver “pusher and spoon” cutlery set, buy a sterling silver chip fork instead - it’s certain to raise a smile and is perfect for the child that will do everything in style.

But if you feel that chip forks aren’t ‘quite the thing’, then you might consider a silver dog tag necklace, a tooth fairy box, a picture frame or even a Quaich to give just four alternatives that bridge the gap between ancient and modern.

But if traditional silver is not for you, then what about a beautiful personalized wooden keepsake box, a presentation newspaper from baby’s birth date, or a photograph frame containing a special memento?

The choice of gifts is endless, but above all, the gift should be one that will last, and one that can be looked back on by the 21 year old “baby”. In our modern ‘throwaway society’, one tradition of christening gifts should be maintained, even if the type of gift has changed radically. Christening gifts should be made to last, because everybody needs memories.

Babies are undeniably wonderful bundles of joy. Although they seek constant attention, bringing up a baby is indeed a memorable experience. The ever evolving fashion trends have made ‘baby grooming’ an integral part of baby care in India. There are myriad varieties of baby clothes available in the market which may be ideal for your baby.

The miscellany of baby clothes in India is attributed to the changing fashion trends. Baby clothes are often complemented with accessories like bib, hat, socks and attractive bows. Baby accessories that accompany baby clothes are also going through resurgence. The article provides an overview of the different types of baby clothes. Baby clothes are mainly classified into the following categories:

Baby sleep wear: The ’sleep wear’ is the main category as babies spend most of their time in slumber. They include loose fitting gowns, onesies, undershirts and sleepers. The kind of bed-time baby clothes depend mainly on the time of year, the weather and the baby’s comfort. It is interesting to note that a baby’s wardrobe will mainly comprise sleep wear such as overalls, loose frocks and loose pajamas with easy access to the nappy. The fabric used in the night wear is of primordial importance and it ought to be non-flammable or flame retardant.

Baby daily wear: As the name suggests, daily wear outfits are baby clothes made of light and airy fabric to be worn during the day. The fabric may vary depending on the season. These daily wear baby clothes include half pants, t-shirts, onesies, simple frocks, pajamas, rompers and one piece outfits.

Baby Outing wear: Outing attires for an infant comprise baby clothes that are elegant, provide high levels of comfort and an easy access to diapers. Warmer clothes are preferred for evening outings; while a walk on a hot summer day will require simple and airy baby wear with suitable accessories.

Outing attire includes jumpsuits, denim half pants, suitable sweater and jackets. Frocks, gowns, skirts and cute tops are some of the best loved varieties of baby clothes for a little girl. Baby Shoes, baby hats, boots, exquisite bibs and bows make up the collection of baby accessories that complement the outing attire.

Taking care of a baby and grooming him/her is a pleasure activity, more so, if you have taken time to choose ideal baby care products. Planning well in advance not only saves time but also energy and money spent on buying accessories or baby clothes for your little one.

As the baby grows, parents may procure baby clothes and accessories depending on the baby’s preferences which are often judged by his reaction to specific products. Shopping at suitable outlets is a good option. Online shopping is a better choice, as it saves time. What’s more, most often online marts are profuse with enticing discounts.

So log on to online marts catering to baby care products including baby clothes and avail the best deals.

• The casually put together style. This is the kind of style that you will get when you have a pair of jeans and tee shirt on. There is nothing really fancy or frilly about this style. It is full of straight lines, solid colors and a style that essentially never goes out of fashion. If you want to spike it up then you can wear a nice pair of heels say Christian Louboutin shoes and you are ready for any outing to the mall, the pub or shopping.

• The look of a seductress. There are times when you really want to look sexy and hot and that is the look when you should have a nice low dress on with the right Christian Louboutin fake shoes on as these will not only go on to accentuate your taut figure but also allow you to be able to cast your magic spell as you walk around in a figure hugging dress or short skirt and fancy top that is revealing just the right amounts.

• The classic style. This is the style that is made of vintage clothing and the kind of style that will never go out of fashion. If you have old clothes that belonged to your mom or lots of lace and flounces then you can easily put this kind of look together. You could even try a mix of different kinds of colors and texture of clothes to get this kind of style.

• The feminine look. This is the kind of look that has all the natural curves and womanly shape that is flaunted be it in the frilled blouses, the skirts of different lengths and styles and also full of laces and ruffles. You could wear the right kind of feminine jewelry and shoes to accentuate this look further. This kind of look is just right for a hot summer day. You can also add to it a white laced dress, loops at your ears, lots of colorful beads and strappy shoes.

• The business like formal attire. This kind of look in addition to the feminine look gives you the look of importance and intelligence. It is a no nonsense kind of look for the woman who wants to showcase her potential and not her feminine side. The shoes need to be of good polished leather and preferably closed and high heeled. Boots would also go along well with this kind of style. The handbag should be of a dark matching color and in leather. Jeans-Styles Bekleidung Frühling/Sommer Kollektion | Damen-Jeans | Herren-Jeans | Kinder-Jeans | Tom Tailor Jeans | Timezone Jeans | Replay Jeans | Jack & Jones Jeans | Blend of America Jeans | Wrangler Jeans | Levi’s Jeans | Lee Jeans | Dolce & Gabbana Jeans | ESPRIT Jeans | Hilfiger Denim Jeans | Mustang Jeans | Diesel Jeans | G-STAR Jeans | Ed Hardy Jeans | Fornarina Textil Jeans | Energie Jeans | J&Company Jeans | True Religion Jeans | Timezone Jeans | 7 for all mankind Jeans | Camel Active Jeans | Capri & 7/8 Jeans | Hosen Jeans | Jacken & Blazer Jeans | Kleider Jeans | Lang Jeans | Overalls & Latzhosen Jeans | Röcke Jeans | Shorts & Bermudas Jeans | Bekleidung

Choosing the right wedding DJ is a big part of planning your wedding Thus, when planning the big day, it is important to really do your research and weigh your options when it comes to choosing a Melbourne wedding DJ. The following are some hints for how to generate a list and find the best person for the job.

If you want to find a really good wedding DJ in Melbourne, or anywhere for that matter, you should keep your ears and eyes open. If you are at a party or club that has a DJ and you like what you hear, you should hunt down the DJ’s contact information. You never know where you will see a DJ that speaks to you. If you find yourself smiling and nodding your head while in a club or at a friend’s party, you should look into the DJ to see if they do weddings.

Next, ask the people you know for recommendations about DJs they or someone they know have used and liked for weddings. Family members, neighbours, friends, and coworkers are great resources to use when looking for the perfect DJ to work your wedding. Referrals or recommendations from these people are opinions you can trust. After all, these people have no reason to steer you in the wrong direction are sure to want the best for you on your special day.

Another great resource to use when looking for a wedding DJ is to look in the telephone book. Here, you can be sure to find some great information about local DJs who work weddings. Just by flipping through a telephone book’s pages, you will be able to compile a list you can later research.

Once you have a list of options, you should head to the Internet to do some basic information about each wedding DJ. If people have had negative experiences with a wedding DJ, chances are high that they have posted about this online in a blog, forum, or message-board. Additionally, if people used a wedding DJ and really enjoyed his or her services, chances are equally high that they have written about this too. Similarly, while on the Internet, you should look to see if the wedding DJs in your area have a website. You can tell a lot about a DJ from how they market or advertise themselves.

Once you have narrowed your list down, it is time to contact the Melbourne Wedding DJ so that you all can meet face to face. You can tell a lot about a person based on how they respond to your questions and the speed it takes him or her to call or email you back. You want a wedding DJ who listens to you and is willing to pay the kinds of music that you like at your big day. After all, this is your big day: the music should be something you enjoy.

For the best Wedding DJ Melbourne company BPM entertainment provides the top Wedding DJ service in Melbourne.

1. ALWAYS BE UPFRONT AND TRUTHFUL- Young children (5 and under) are very “me focused”. They are the center of their world and the cause of all things. Hence anything they are trying to qualify by asking questions about is a direct result of how it will impact them and if they are somehow to blame. Always speak the truth and speak clearly with an immediate response of “No one is to blame for this sickness”. If they are included in this journey with the truth, they can quickly be guided to accurate, healthy, and hope-filled interpretations and therefore, less likely to blame themselves.

2. CREATE SITUATIONS DURING THE DAY THAT ARE MEMORABLE AND UNIQUE. Their childhood is NOW, and it can’t wait so pray that the Holy Spirit will give you strategies to make good spots in the day and then direct their prayers at night to focus on these good spots, and be thankful for them. Special times remembered should be the last thing they pray at night, and keep them focused upward on those thoughts as they fall asleep. Special movie times snuggling, coloring times, taking pictures to make a loving scrapbook of memories.

3. Refocus YOUR illness to see it as a shared situation, affecting everyone. Ask the Holy Spirit to lead you and guide you in your understanding so that you may have the wisdom to understand your child’s needs during this time.

4. Keep your lines of communication open and clear. It fights inaccurate assumptions and fears. Tell them you understand their feelings, and share yours.

A. Provide enough facts to allay their fears (medication side effects, its making you sick so that it kills the cancer)

B. Always reassure them that they will always be kept informed…you will not surprise them.

C. Prepare them ahead of time for what is coming next (hospital stays, interrupted weekends, radiation treatments, loss of hair etc)

Keep all of this as positive as you can, and speak it in Love, pray that God will order your words in a loving way that your child will understand what she needs to.

5. If you have not shared truthfully with your child up until now, and your sickness is like hiding an 800lb elephant in the room with them, you need to apologize that you were not truthful and promise them that you will speak truth going forward. It’s really important that you regain their trust.

6. Teach them that cancer is not contagious. It may sound silly to us, but their minds travel differently. That radiation is not going to light them up…it’s like sunburn, you cannot catch it. Alleviate the fears before they come to mind.

7. Empower Your Children…If you know that you are going to have to interrupt plans or cancel field trips because you are tired or sick from treatment, give them an element of control by giving them choices that you can manage while they are with you. It gives them a sense of some control to a situation that has potential disappointment. That is, I cannot go to the beach with you as planned today, so you decide if you would prefer to get videos, games, or arts and crafts to play with while you are with me.

8. Managing their Grief. Young children show grief with

A. Physical symptoms

B. Regressive Behavior-thumb sucking

C. Self-blame

D. Fears and Anxiety

E. Aggression or Hiding

Validate them. Reassure them that these losses…trips, family time, cancelled events are short term losses, and allow them to grieve them appropriately.

9. In all things, get them to focus UP …Have them look at what good came today from something that was bad. Because we didn’t do this….we have to do this…..

10. Ask them if they have specific FEARS. Have them draw for you what makes them happy and what makes them sad.

Suggestions:

* Create memories now in pictures. Sitting together with your arm around her….

* Swinging together….coloring together….funny faces ….watching TV snuggled up.

* Warm loving pictures are going to minister healing in the event of loss later.

Create a “Free From” Cup…get bright colored buttons and have her say what they represent…as she tosses them in the free from cup…ask Gods warring angels to carry them away to dry uninhabited lands far away and never to return. Pray with her always. Just an act in the natural that will signify freedom in the supernatural.

It is that time again this year where the popular Christmas Gifts For Kids are starting to emerge. Year 2009 is a particularly interesting year because there is an emphasis on value and bargains by toy manufacturers. Here, we will list some of the hot categories in 2009 and also the top products in each. This should help you get a jump start on your Christmas shopping and be able to check off the kids gifts on your list.

Fun Electronic Toys

The first category that should be a hit in 2009 is fun electronic toys. Fun electronics are essentially any game or toy electronics. This year there are a number of products in this category including the Rubik’s touchcube, Mindflex game, Bop It Everyone Game, and the Vtech® Kidizoom Digital Camera. All of these products should do really well this year and highlight the growth of this category.

Learning Game Systems

Our second strong category are Learning game systems. This is really a new category that focuses on toddlers and young kids. These game tend to either work in combination with the television or independently. Popular choices in 2009 include the Zippity Learning System, Fisher Price® Splatster, Fisher Price® MyToon TV, and the Leapfrog® Text and Learn. All of these toys are a big hit because many parents think highly of these learning toys and there is more of an emphasis now to give your kids the best push forward in education.

Creativity Toys

Our third hot category is creativity toys. These tend to be anything that focus on allowing the kids to be creative in design and making. These tend to be arts & craft like and there are a number available in 2009. Some of the more popular ones are Printies™ Ocean Adventure Design Studio, Printies™ Pet Design Studio, Printies™ Jungle Safari Design Studio, Candy Bead Studio, and the Candy Jewel Factory Oven.

Dolls & Action Figures

Our fourth key category is a classic one which is dolls & action figures. This year there are a lot of throwbacks with a number of Transformers, GI Joe and even a 50th anniversary Barbie doll. However, there are also some new entrants as well as Disney® is releasing the Just One Kiss Princess Tiana Doll which is going to be a best seller this fall. A really good year for this category as there are plenty of choices for boys and girls in 2009.

By: Mark Daniel

As I crossed the threshold, I hang my coat on the coat hook and look into the mirror like I have a million times before and remember back to the time when we bought this custom etched mirrored coat rack as one of the gifts for dad on Father’s Day when I was very young. We ordered it so carefully making sure it was perfect, and would say just the right sentiment; after all, unique personalized gifts are not returnable! But the moment we had waited for finally came and Dad opened it and he seemed so surprised and happy with his mirrored gift. He even placed it at the door of the home we had on the lake.

Little did I realize how important this piece would become over time. Every weekend we’d go there and fish, or swim, and had a great time. I recollect a dull moment, even though we didn’t have a television or computer there. Dad would play card games with us kids or tell us stories that were all from his memories. And then Sunday would come and we’d have to go back to the city. We would remove our caps and jackets from the hooks of that etched mirror and head to our weekday lives. Dreaming of our time together again the next weekend we’d spend at the cabin.

No matter what happens in life, no matter how rough the road has gotten, I could always go back to a time at the lake where dad in his infinite wisdom would tell a story or impart some wisdom that would make me see my bad situation in a better light. Funny how a simple piece of artwork can evoke such strong memories. I never would have dreamed that this gift for dad would span generations, and mean so much to so many.

Now, here I am 40 years later looking at the old man in the custom etched mirror. He has a remarkable resemblance to my dad! And then I flash back to the time spent with dear old dad at the cabin. The fun times that we had planning and all the time that was spent with each other was not the important thing instead it was the investment in each others lives. Time spent with dad wasn’t ever trivial. It was time spent learning, laughing, and enjoying the person he was. I can only hope that when my boys grow up they will look into this personalized, custom etched mirror that was once meant to be a gift for dad, and remember the times they spent with their dad with such splendor. This mirror that is a reflection of much simpler times. Is there any better gift than one that will build memories of Dad?

By: Rick Lasslett

Back in the good old days my friend Ronny and I used to build our own ride on cars from old bits of lumber that dad had lying around in the garage. We would scrounge the wheels and axles from the local dump along with anything else we thought would add flair, and then we would set to and build our “supercar”.

Dad banned us from using his good tools after we had built our first machine. It took him days to find the hammer and he never did manage to get the rust off the saw! So we had to use whatever came to hand as tools (mostly found at the dump). Needless to say our finished “ride on cars” were not pretty. Neither were they safe! But man they were fun.

About a mile from our house was small hill with no trees on it, just grass kept short by the occassional cow munching contentedly away. It had a long slope on one side that went for about 300 yards with a track worn down the middle by years of ride on cars being raced down the hill by just about every kid in town.

As soon as the newly built ride on cars were ready for testing, mom would pack us a lunch box and send us off with a “be home in time for dinner or you’ll be apologizing to your father!” Then we would be off, me pulling Ronny along then Ronny pulling me, until we got to ‘The Hill’. The first test run would be very cautious with feet dragging along the ground as brakes just to make sure that she held together and steered in a straight line. If we made it to the bottom it was thumbs up for the ‘Top Gun’ attempt.

Honestly, some days I laughed so much I could hardly catch my breath. To see Ronny’s back disappear down that track slightly swerving side to side then swerving more violently until he is in the rough and gullies, gets thrown out and ends up (usually) in a cow pat or two, is a memory that will be with me forever. How we didn’t get hurt is a mystery to me now. But things were different back then. Mom and Dad weren’t worried, they had patched up my scrapes and bruises before and there was never any real harm done. Except to the machine of course. They only had to roll once or twice and it was back to the garage for a complete rebuild.

These days the ride on cars are unrecognizable compared to the ones me and Ronny built. Highly colorful lightweight tough plastic bodies in practically every shape you could want. Pedals - electric motors - batteries - radios - lights - the list goes on.

But one thing is still the same. The fun that can be had!

By: Shelby Strong

Disney princesses are so popular among little girls and adults alike. There is something within their goodness and strength that appeals to young and old alike. While Disneyland is one of the most popular destination vacations on earth, Disney movies are items we can take with us when we travel, or simply watch at home making them convenient and a fun way to spend our time.

The most popular Disney movie of all time, according to a recent survey, indicate Snow White is number one. Snow White with her beautiful singing voice and flowing yellow, red, and blue dress has captivated audiences for decades. She is the post popular princess because she is fun, smart, witty, and of course beautiful.

The second most popular Disney movie is Peter pan. While there is no traditional princess in Peter Pan, Tinkerbell is a favorite among fairy lovers. Some even consider her to be a princess in her own right. She is beautiful and smart, just like Snow White, and super smart and kind just like the other princesses you might associate with Disney movies.

Next, is Sleeping Beauty in her signature, flowing pink dress and beautiful long blonde hair. While she sleeps in a deep, magical sleep under a spell, her prince kisses her and brings her back to life, a life worth living with your true love. Sleeping Beauty is one of the most popular princess dress up costumes on the market, so it’s no wonder that Sleeping Beauty is a favorite among Disney movie fans,

Third, don’t forget Cinderella! Cinderella is the quintessential princess with her flowing blue dress ready for a ball with her glass slipper in toe. Many young girls or adults can identify with her sweet personality and her ability to overcome amid overwhelming circumstances. She is a strong adult and willing to suffer through increasing hardships to eventually see the light at the end of the tunnel.

The fourth most popular Disney movie, is of course, Beauty and the Beast, starring princess Belle, meaning Beauty. Belle is the smartest in her villiage and turns down the most eligible bachelors in town because she is more interested in reading books. The looks beyond the outward appearance of the Beast, and falls in love easily with his gentle nature. Not only does her name reflect her inner beauty, but she is beautiful outwardly as well. What little girl does not love her amazing yellow dress, meant to twirl and turn at the ball.

Last, but not least, is the Little Mermaid, with princess Ariel, daughter of an undersea king who prefers not to let Ariel out of his sight. She collects human artifacts and makes a deal with the sea witch to get legs and meeting the sailor she loves, princes Eric. She is beautiful with her flowing red hair and her fun personality.
